I was really mad, pissed off and all those other negative feelings towards him. I was mad but still, it hurt both me and him because I knew couldn't really stay mad at him forever. After a few days, I finally found it in my heart to forgive him, not wholly but more of a 98%. Haha :)
A few days ago, he called me and we talked about a lot of random stuff until we came to talk about that issue again. He told me him and another victim of the issue in class wrote a letter to the teacher about the plagiarism thingy. It was the reason my grade wasn't 65. Out of curiosity, I asked him to send the letter to me so I could read it and now I am letting the world know what these two guys wrote in that letter. (It's safe to share it here 'cause no one really reads my blog, anyway. Hahaha)
Here it is.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ma’am ***,
First of all, we thank you for being considerate enough not to file a case against us. It has been a wild semester. The moment you are reading this, I would assume that you already have an idea where this is going so I won’t fool around.
We are indeed grateful for the consideration that you have given to us when you did not report us to the OSA but now we ask of greater favor in your eyes. The ”we” of me, Karen and K.O.C. sends you this letter out of sheer desperation. And please consider that we would do anything for you to lift your decision to a lighter state.
A.S.M.:
Ma’am,
A couple of weeks ago, I went to the lounge to ask you what your decision was. I haven’t said six words when you finally concluded to fail us in our midterm grade. I couldn’t speak at that point. I was devastated. I could handle a failing grade in the midterm but I what I can’t handle is the guilt of having others fail because of my mistake. This event has taken its toll on me personally. I ask you ma’am to please change your decision not because I want a higher grade but because it’s getting harder to sleep at night. Me, Karen and K.O.C. made a mistake that we never meant to do. If given the chance we would have not done so.
Another thing is that I don’t want to leave Ateneo. The more selfish reason for this favor that we ask is that this event could send me to be transferred to another school depending on my parent’s decision. Please don’t burry half of my college life. I’m not doing this to be nice, or to clear my name with my friends. I am doing this because it is the right thing to do. I don’t want to change your decision by dramatic stories and what not. I want to change your decision by asking you this as the ultimate favor that I can ask of anyone especially to you as my teacher.
On a more personal note is my relationship with Karen. She is one major reason why I exert more effort on persuading you ma’am. It’s been a hell for me not being able to talk to her since that day came. My conscience grew and grew. Even lifting our grades back to just failing us in the paper work would be WIDELY APPRECIATED and GREATLY REJOICED. This could be my last wish before leaving Ateneo. All I ask, ma’am, is for you to be the answer to my prayers. I have faith in you.
K.O.C. :
Ma’am
Maybe, you can sit down and reconsider. Let’s talk things over.
Ma’am,
We ask this of you for the sake of our efforts and for the sake of our conscience. It has been one turn of events. This would be a memory that we would not forget as long as we live. The biggest mistake we have made in our college life has come and it is in your class. If given another chance, we will do better. We will do wiser. The decision is yours, ma’am ***. A group of good people need you to look very deep in your heart and even just this once, give a favor that you may have not granted to anyone else who has committed this mistake.
We are humbled and we are desperate. Save our grades. More personally, please save my college life.
God bless and God Speed.
A.S.M.
K.O.C.

I actually laughed at the fact that K.O.C. only wrote a sentence while A.S.M. wrote 3 paragraphs. Haha! I wonder what the teacher's reaction was when she read this. Anyway, I was touched by A.S.M.'s last paragraph. Didn't know I meant that much to him. Hahaha K. Getting mushy there.
Anyway, I'm writing about this so I can finally get the issue out of my fucking skull. First of all, even if the plagiarism thingy didn't happen, I would still not reach the grade of an honor student. Second, I should really move on and remove the 2% of hate I have for ASM for doing that. After all, he did help me in a lot of stuff AND I've been bullying him a lot (lately). And third, I should really be nicer to the guy and stop with all the beating up and etcetera. I feel like a bully whenever I do so.
They always said that the best way to get over something is to turn it into literature. So here I am, writing about that horrible experience and now I shall get over it.. :)
For the record, the other guy (K.O.C.) was innocent. He just got dragged along because the teacher thought we copied his work or vice versa. We had similar thoughts. Can the teacher blame him that he thinks as highly as I do? Lol. Just kidding.
